The opposition leader in Uganda, Bobi Wine has rejected early results which gave his rival President Yoweri Museveni a lead in polls last week.

On Friday, Wine told journalists that he rejects polls results and described how soldiers threatened his life following his remarks about frauds in the elections.

"They jumped over my fence. They came inside my compound. They are here right now. I don't know why they're here. But I'm imagining they are here to harm me. I feel threatened," said Wine, who described soldiers’ action as "a siege".

But, the army deputy spokesman Deo Akiiki said the soldiers were there to provide security and that they had. to stop three people who were on their way to the house.

The US, EU, UN and global rights and democracy groups have raised concerns about the integrity and transparency of the election.

The United States and African Union, however, said international observers were denied permission to monitor the election.
