Hotels in juba give peace delegates five days to pay or face eviction!

Nine hotels in Juba have threatened to evict peace delegates from their premises if the Chairman of the National Transitional Committee (NTC) Mr Tut Gatluak failed to settle their bills within five days.

In a joined letter addressed to the chairperson of the National Transitional Committee NTC, on Tuesday, the hotel managers said they have been hosting over 300 peace delegates representing the SPLM-IO, South Sudan Opposition Alliance, Former Detainees, and Other Political Parties.

According to Joseph Chol, Managing Director of Referenda Apartments that NTC owes them $10 Million for the delegates accommodation and other services. He urged NTC to pay within five days or their guest will face eviction.

The public and civil society groups have accused the government of squandering public money on luxury accommodation for themselves, their family members including bodyguards, and friends, at the expense of delivering services.
