Emerging news from Juba said a young man has lost his life in devious circumstance and as a result, four men were arrested in connection with this incident.

The victim who was identified as Valentino Mathiang was a member of SPLM National Secretariat. Sources said Valentino plunged from the 7th floor causing his fatal death.

It is not yet clear whether his fateful death was caused by himself alone or pushed by someone else. But sources added saying, the suspects were taken under arrest to the Malakia police station for criminal investigation.

Mathiang’s body was taken to Juba Military hospital for further autopsy. On the other hand members of the Criminal Investigation Department were said to have been leading the investigations to establish whether it was a suicide or manslaughter.

News circulating on the social media, however, said Valentino was murdered, accusing elements of security services as having hands behind his demise.

The incident, however, happened a day following rebuke by Minister, Michael Makuei Lueth threatening youth of deleterious consequences if they proceed with their plans to stage this demonstration.

Makuei who was bemused by this development described it as ‘ copying and pasting other people’s experiences and that won't work in South Sudan a situation he said ‘unacceptable’.

In response to Makuei’s threats, youth organizers said, if the government uses force against them, it may not be a solution; it will instead worsen the situation even further and probably won't be in regime’s favour.

It’s worth mentioning, that youth from all the tribal backgrounds of South Sudan have planned and agreed to stage a peaceful demonstration in protest against widespread corruption, failure of the government to handle poor economic conditions and failure of leadership to bring peace to a conclusion.
