Kiir and Taban @ credit source
In a fresh turn of events, the South African Col. William John Endley who was arrested in South Sudan two years ago on charges of treason and conspiracy, then later pardoned by President Kiir last year told John Thanza of VoA, Focus on South Sudan that the First Vice President Taban Deng Gai was behind the elimination of both Dong Luak and Aggery Idiri.
Endley said some national security officers leaked messages sent from the office of the FVP Taban Deng Gai and, the Director-General Akol Koor Kuc of the National Security Services to execute the two men because according to him, Dr Riek Machar has become a headache for his job.
Endley further said Dong and Aggrey were kept in a separate cell within the blue house. Dong was busy writing on a script of a book during which they were taken out until the time when one of the officers came and told him that ‘these guys are no any longer breathing, it’s very unfortunate!’
Endley, however, said James Gatdet and him were about to be eliminated too, but this plan was put to a halt by a source which was not disclosed. Endley concluded that he stands ready to testify and tell the truth in an international credible court of justice.
Already he has been interviewed by the Amnesty and Human rights groups. He further told VOA that some of these senior national security officers confided in him also that they will tell their own version of the story about what they knew surrounding the circumstances that led to the execution of Dong Luak and Aggrey Idiri on January 2017.
