Only idiots can’t see the darkest point in our history!
Part One

It was only yesterday when we were bound together to fight for freedom and injustice in our motherland.
I could remember when we raised the flag and praised our God for answering our prayers.
We rejoiced the down of our independence, we danced and sang the songs of our freedom to mark the end of the suffering of our people at home.
It was performed on that remarkable day without any prejudices or greed to remember.
Side by side, and together, we lifted our hands up and sang:
“…Oh God, we praise and glorify you, for your grace on South Sudan. Land of great abundance, uphold us united in peace and harmony. Oh, motherland we rise raising the flag with the guiding star and sing songs of freedom with joy. For justice, liberty and prosperity; shall forever more reign. …Oh, great patriots; … Let us stand up, in silence and respect, saluting our martyrs whose blood; cemented our national foundation. We vow to protect our nation. Oh God, bless South Sudan.”
Certainly, South Sudan is a land that accommodates everybody including, Laso, Gadtwich, Kolang, Kumbo, Deng, Sabon, Lakurnyang, Hassan, Oyet, Obang and Othow.
It’s indeed belonging to us all, we the fearless and honest men of South Sudan. It’s endowed with natural resources and full of honey and milk for everyone to enjoy, including our neighbours and other friends as well as our well-wishers.
Yes, South Sudan was our promised land worth fighting for, and it’s true today. It would remain a land that will bind us together and defend until the last atom in our blood runs out of the systems!
South Sudan is in our heart; we will continue fighting for its glory and total liberation which was cut short by forces of darkness and backwardness. We will realize the ultimate goal for which our forefathers fought for in the past.
However, we fought for more than two decades, and then, later every tribe and creed turned out for the historical referendum of which we won by 99.5% in favour of our independence.
But shortly, and following the euphoria for the independence, our dream dashed, it turned into a nightmare with the emergence of a group calling themselves our liberators.
Things fall apart, money was stolen and many people were killed mercilessly in a series of unfortunate events which was characterised by the international observers as tribally motivated.
In the beginning, we thought the main objective of our liberators was to fight and argue for the cause of the suffering of our people and secure independence from the oppressive regimes in Khartoum.
It was obvious that our freedom and joy for a lasting peace was hijacked by a bunch of thieves and sadists who elected themselves at some point in history to rob us our joy of freedom.
Sadly, many joined the liberation struggle purely for personal narrow interests. Meanwhile, others have had different agendas and hidden grudges against certain communities for quite long.
When they returned home after the ‘Comprehensive Peace Agreement’ most of them were, unfortunately, airing out anti sentiments against those who held out and survived the Khartoum’s onslaughts.
Some were boasting and saying they were the heroes who secured our independence through the barrel of the guns, they are now back to enjoy the dividends of the struggle! The rest were just mere traitors!
At first, we thought it was some kind of a joke. But later, we found out that they were meaning it.
Subsequently, things turned ugly, and amazed, we were left with our hands on top of our heads!
Among them, were individuals known for their betrayal and collaboration with the enemy in the past.
While the war was still raging on, some among them were consistently contradicting the cause of the struggle trying their very best to reverse the will of our people.
They plotted to hold us back using every opportunity they get to derail the movement.
These disgruntled groups were, in fact, roaming about on the streets of Nairobi and London looking for any opportunity to take advantage of or to strike and stave the movement from behind.
Because they fell out with Dr John Garang, they were determined to challenge him and to change the course and the philosophy of the struggle.
The conspirators embarked on a program to rewrite the history of our nation by manipulating and twisting the liberation version to suit their own views and dreams for the future of South Sudan.
When they settled down in Juba finally after the demise of Dr John Garang, their supporters welcomed and hailed them immediately as heroes.
Today, they are in the driving seat in Juba exerting every effort to deny our people the opportunity to enjoy the dividends of the struggle.
They blocked all the avenues for our people to continue living in peace and harmony.
They monopolized everything, including financial institutions, land registry and oil sector of which all were awarded to their staunch supporters to administer them on their behalf.
All this was done in appreciation for their unwavering support to the quest of domination they planned for since long time ago.
In Juba and other major towns of Malakal and Wau, the spirit of camaraderie known in the past as (Nhanu Junubieen) changed overnight as it was evidence in the tense relations among the people of one nation.
The clique used revenues of our precious natural resources to consistently enrich themselves and divide our people.
Instead of rebuilding South Sudan, they chose to loot our banks, stocked their accounts with huge lump sums of money. They bought luxurious houses and palaces for themselves and their families abroad.
But later, they started to walk a tightrope, some individuals among them were caught red-handed while stealing public money.
On tipping them off, a prompt investigation was launched against them. An International competent anti-money laundry found out that most of them were guilty of embezzlement and serious human rights violation!
Their ranches and skyrocketing businesses were exposed. The sanction against some prominent figures who were accused of involvement was made known.
Their bank accounts were blocked, and their names, including the names of their loved ones connected with criminal financial businesses and money laundering, were published and shamed all over the world.
It was said that power often comes with some sense of responsibility, But, unfortunately, President Kiir doesn’t have what it takes to stop it.
In fact, he wasn’t bothered at all. Things crumbled around him with his full knowledge, because they were his own people.
The situation was deteriorating under his watch. It went from bad to worse until he confided in himself recently that, he was surrounded in fact by people who were incapable of delivering, instead, he was surrounded by people who knew only how to eat!
Surprisingly, he questioned nobody, instead, he chose to resist and defy this as nonsense allegations, claims of being a victim of the international campaign against his government.
However, Kiir and his group turned South Sudan into a shambolic state, they made a mockery of the entire system of the governance.
Their diplomats and high profile members of his government became laughing stocks all over the world. Everybody turned against them, and it was surely a fiasco even at home.
Systematically, people were deliberately starved; forcing most of them to flee with their loved ones into refugee camps or displacement centres inside the country and abroad.
Hence, many people ended up running away from the regime’s brutality and man-made intolerable conditions at home.
It’s sad news that some of our politicians have forgotten these darkest moments in our recent history.
Most of them and without exception are now struggling to win President’s Kiir favour to join the ranks in Juba. They have chosen voluntarily to extend the regime’s life-span for more years to come.
Certainly, Kiir and his group will continue their unfinished project of total domination and abusing the system of governance on one hand and confusing our communities to butcher themselves until the second coming of Jesus Christ.
